Amakem’s primary focus is on eye diseases and specifically on the development of inhibitors for Rho kinase (ROCK) and certain other kinase. Amakem’s lead product candidate is AMA0076 for glaucoma and the Company is exploring the development of additional compounds targeting other eye diseases.

Amakem has established a very successful collaboration with the Ophthalmology Research Center of the University Leuven Hospital (ULH) for the development of ‘Localized Drug Action’ platform based kinase inhibitors to treat a range of ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma.
